Starting to chat.

The first thing you need to do is wait for the chat applet to load. If you are on a slow connection this may take a while. you should then get a screen that looks like this:

Click Yes, and then you should see this:

Enter a nickname in the top box, and click connect. You don't need to change any of the other boxes. If all goes well you should see something like this:

On the right hand side there is a list of the people who are currently in the chatroom. Type your message in the bottom box and hit return to send to everyone else. Pretty simple huh?

If instead of the above you got a screen like this:

You are trying to use someone else's registered nickname. Click cancel, then go back and try another (original) name.

Registering a name.

If you want to register your own name then first get to the normal chat window. Then type "/ns" (without the quotes) and press return. You will then get this window pop up:

Click register and you get:

Enter a password and your email address, and the nickname is then registered to you.
